Full Journal pdf2024-04-26 House Journal Page 2467 HJR 17 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the April 24 calendar (page 2431), was read the third time: HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 17 Urging the United States Congress to pass the Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies Act. Representative Edgmon rose to a point of order regarding improper and inappropriate remarks made during debate. The Speaker cautioned the member to proceed in order. 2024-04-26 House Journal Page 2468 Representative Fields, citing Section 101 of Masons Manual, rose to a point of order. The Speaker directed the member to discontinue speaking. Representative Allard moved the previous question. There was objection. Representative Eastman rose to a point of order stating that the motion to call for the question was not in order. The Speaker ruled Representative Eastman's point of order out of order. Representative Eastman appealed the ruling of the Chair. The question being: "Shall the ruling of the Chair be sustained?"
